- McMahon & Hill Purchased Two Fillies at the Fasig-Tipton NY Bred Sale
The McMahon & Hill team had a busy, and very productive, weekend in Saratoga at the Fasig-Tipton New York-Bred Sale. We were thrilled to come away with two promising fillies: one for our racing partnership by Arabian Lion, and one for our pinhook partnership by Nashville. Both were purchased at attractive prices, and we’re excited about what’s ahead for them. A New Filly for the 2026 Bourbon Lane Yearling, LLC The 2026 Bourbon Lane Yearling, LLC is off and running! We’re excited to announce our first purchase for this new partnership: a lovely filly by popular freshman sire Arabian Lion, out of a proven mare by Summer Front. By Justify, Arabian Lion stands at Spendthrift Farm and was an exceptionally fast two and three- year-old. Hidden Brook sold him for $600,000 as a two-year-old before he won on debut at Santa Anita. He went on to capture the Grade 1 Woody Stephens Stakes at Belmont, earning an impressive 109 Beyer Speed Figure. We purchased this filly for $85,000, with Bourbon Lane owning 50% in partnership with Kent Hill Stables. She is the first of three yearlings we plan to acquire for the 2026 Bourbon Lane Yearling, LLC this fall. Currently located at Hidden Brook in Ocala, FL for pre-training, she’ll eventually head to Graham Motion’s barn to begin her racing career. Click here to view her walking video. Click here to view her pedigree. An Exciting Addition to the 2026 M&H Pinhook, LLC The 2026 M&H Pinhook, LLC also added a promising New York-bred to the team. Purchased for $75,000 in partnership with Hidden Brook, this filly is by Nashville, out of a mare by Malibu Moon. Nashville is off to a solid start at stud, with 8 winners from 30 starters. He was an exceptionally fast racehorse himself, earning a career-best 103 Beyer Speed Figure. Interestingly, Nashville didn’t make his debut until September of his three-year-old season, so we expect plenty more of his first-crop winners to emerge later this year and into next year as his three-year-olds hit the track. This filly is the second purchase for the 2026 M&H Pinhook, LLC, following our acquisition of an Arabian Lion filly at the Fasig-Tipton July Sale. With two fillies already in this partnership and more to come, we’re excited about the group we’re putting together. Click here to view her walking video. Click hgere to view her pedigree. Want to Get Involved? 2026 M&H Pinhook, LLC: $25,000 minimum one-time buy-in, which includes the horse purchase price and associated expenses. 2026 Bourbon Lane Yearling Partnership: $10,000 minimum one-time buy-in, with $60,000 per horse reserved for expenses as part of the total amount raised. - The 2026 McMahon & Hill Pinhook Now Open - First Purchase at The July Sale
Arabian Lion x Spin Munnings Filly The 2026 M&H Pinhook, LLC is now open to investors! With a minimum one-time investment of $25,000, you'll participate in a diversified portfolio of carefully selected pinhooking prospects assembled by McMahon & Hill Bloodstock. Our strategy is built around purchasing yearlings, weanlings, and select broodmare prospects, spreading risk across multiple horses and market segments while capitalizing on opportunities throughout the marketplace. Unlike a traditional single-season partnership, our annual pinhook partnerships are structured as a long-term investment program. As horses are bought and sold, capital is continually reinvested into new opportunities, allowing us to build a diversified portfolio over multiple years. As proceeds become available, the partnership will evaluate opportunities for distributions while maintaining approximately six months of expenses and the flexibility to pursue future investments. We're excited to announce one of the partnership's first purchases: an outstanding filly by freshman sire Arabian Lion out of a Munnings mare, purchased at the Fasig-Tipton July Sale. Click here to view her pedigree. We liked this filly from the time we saw her as a foal, and she has continued to develop into an athletic, precocious yearling with all the qualities we look for in a successful pinhook prospect. We purchased her for $40,000 and are proud to develop her in partnership with Hidden Brook Farm. Our pinhooking program has continued to produce outstanding results. This spring, we sold a Bolt d'Oro filly for $300,000 after purchasing her for $52,000 and a Twirling Candy filly for $250,000 after purchasing her for $130,000. Our partnership with Hidden Brook has also produced success over the past years, including a Constitution filly we purchased for $210,000 and later sold for $675,000 as a two-year-old. We're excited to add another promising prospect to that growing record of success. Arabian Lion, a son of Justify standing at Spendthrift Farm, was exceptionally talented. Trained by Bob Baffert, he won impressively on debut at Santa Anita before capturing the Grade 1 Woody Stephens Stakes and earning a 109 Beyer Speed Figure. Hidden Brook also has firsthand experience with the stallion, having sold Arabian Lion for $600,000 as a two-year-old before his successful racing career. If you've been considering investing in a pinhook, the 2026 M&H Pinhook, LLC offers the opportunity to invest alongside an experienced team with a proven history of identifying value and producing results. To learn more about the 2026 M&H Pinhook, LLC please contact us. We look forward to welcoming new partners as we build another exciting portfolio of pinhooking prospects. - Bourbon Memory Returns to Winning Form at Ellis Park
July 5, 2026 Bourbon Memory returned to the winner's circle in style on Sunday, capturing an allowance at Ellis Park with a determined late rally over one mile on the turf. The 4-year-old daughter of Bolt d'Oro settled comfortably off the pace before producing a strong stretch run to win by a half-length, earning a 95 Equibase Speed Figure, the second-highest speed figure of her career. Purchased for just $27,000 at the Keeneland September Yearling Sale, Bourbon Memory has continued to reward her connections. The stakes-winning filly has now won five of her 11 career starts and has amassed $239,263 in earnings. After debuting as a 3-year-old in 2025, Bourbon Memory put together an impressive four-race winning streak that included a victory in the Serena's Song Stakes. While her last few starts didn't produce the results she was capable of—including one trip where circumstances simply didn't go her way—Sunday's performance was an encouraging reminder of the talent she's shown throughout her career. Congratulations to trainer Brendan Walsh and the ownership partnership of Bourbon Lane Stable, Seidman Stables LLC, All My Hart Racing, Inc., Fergus Galvin, and Carl Barry on another memorable victory. - Allthekingshorses Breaks Her Maiden on the Synthetic at Cambridge
The 2024 Bourbon Lane Stable New Zealand Partnership was thrilled to see Allthekingshorses break her maiden on the synthetic track at Cambridge in New Zealand on June 17th. This 3-year-old filly by King’s Legacy has continued to improve with every start, and on her fourth attempt she got the job done. It was her second run on the synthetic surface, showing clear progress from her third-place finish last time out when she first tried it. Trained by Stephen Marsh, Allthekingshorses showed real determination to hold on for the win. We’re excited to see where she goes next and look forward to continued success with the 2024 Bourbon Lane Stable New Zealand Partnership. We extend our congratulations to Stephen Marsh and his entire team on another successful afternoon at the races.
- Erin Go Bragh Returns to Winning Form at Te Rapa
Bourbon Lane Stable was thrilled to see Erin Go Bragh return to the winner's circle with an impressive victory at Te Rapa on June 13. The 5-year-old has been a consistent performer throughout his career and has provided plenty of excitement for his ownership group. After a series of solid efforts, it was especially rewarding to see him put everything together and deliver a performance that reflected the talent we have always known he possesses. Trained by Stephen Marsh, Erin Go Bragh showed determination and class throughout the race, earning a well-deserved victory and reminding us why he has been such a valuable member of the Bourbon Lane Stable roster. With the win, Erin Go Bragh's career record now stands at 11 starts with 3 wins, 3 second-place finishes, and 1 third-place finish. Consistency like that is difficult to achieve in this sport and is a testament to both the horse and the team behind him. We extend our congratulations to Stephen Marsh and his entire team on another successful afternoon at the races.
- Recent Winners in the US & NZ
Bourbon Flight - Coady Media Photo The 2023 Bourbon Lane Yearling Partnership celebrated an exciting win last weekend with Bourbon Flight. After he broke his maiden at Turfway, he ran a gutsy second at Churchill against tougher company. He came out of that race in great form and was ready to bounce right back into a Claiming $50,000 at Churchill. Irad Ortiz Jr. was aboard and gave him a beautiful ride. Congratulations to co-owners Six Column Stables, LLC. The team went back to Churchill on Friday last week to cheer on Ractoneuse as she broke her maiden in her 19th attempt! We had a great group of partners from the 2022 Bourbon Lane Yearling Partnership there, and plenty of celebrations to commemorate the occasion. Congratulations to our co-owners, Silema Holdings, LLC, and thank you to her jockey Francisco Arrieta for a perfect ride. A special thank you to trainer Ian Wilkes and his team for managing both Bourbon Flight and Raconteuse so well. Moretothinkabout - Peter Rubery Photo On the other side of the globe in New Zealand, our three-year-old colt by So You Think, Moretothinkabout, put on a gutsy performance at Waikato Racecourse to break his maiden. Part of the 2024 Bourbon Lane New Zealand, LLC, we are excited for this horse’s future. Thank you to our New Zealand trainer, Stephen Marsh, and his team for all of their hard work and dedication they put in to this horse and all of our horses based in New Zealand.
- Glamour Tcycoon Sells to Nearco Stud for NZD 375,000
Listed Stakes winner and G3 placed mare Glamour Tycoon has been sold through gavelhouse.com to Nearco Stud for NZD 375,000. Purchased for the 2022 Bourbon Lane New Zealand, LLC for NZD 220,000 as a yearling, Glamour Tycoon went on to earn over NZD 300,000 in prize money. A two time Listed Stakes winner, she wrapped up her racing career earlier this season with an impressive third in the NZD 140,000 G3 Sweynesse Stakes, followed by a win in a NZD 50,000 Open Handicap at Tauranga. She has been a wonderfully consistent filly throughout her career, and we are delighted she will remain in New Zealand under the ownership of Nearco Stud, with their mares based at Curraghmore. - Bourbon Betty Breaks Maiden at Aqueduct
Bourbon Betty made a strong statement in her turf debut, breaking her maiden in impressive fashion in a Maiden Special Weight at Aqueduct last week on April 16th. The 3-year-old filly went straight to the front and never looked back. She showed determination down the stretch, steadily extending her advantage to win by a comfortable margin. After a challenging first start over a sloppy dirt track at Gulfstream, she bounced back with confidence and proved she was ready to roll on the grass. Bourbon Betty is part of our 2025 U.S. Two-Year-Old Partnership and was purchased for $90,000 at last spring’s OBS March Sale. By Mendelssohn, she hails from a successful turf family, and we’re excited to see what the rest of the summer holds for her. Congratulations to our partners Bourbon Lane Stable, David Hampson, and Old Guys Rules Racing Stables on the victory. Wins like this are what partnership racing is all about. If you’re interested in joining our Bourbon Lane Partnerships, we’d love to connect and help you get involved with future runners. A special thank you to trainer Mark Hennig and his team, along with jockey Jose Lezcano, for guiding Bourbon Betty to the winner’s circle.
- OBS April Recap - Pinhook Success & Purchases for clients including the 2026 Bourbon Lane Two-Year-Old LLC
The OBS April Sale was a busy week for us, with a mix of rewarding pinhook results and some exciting additions for our program. Twirling Candy - The Bull Unbridled We were especially pleased with our Twirling Candy filly for the 2025 M&H Pinhook LLC, who sold for $250,000. We purchased her for $130,000 at last year’s Fasig Tipton October Sale, and she continued to progress throughout the winter. After breezing a solid 10.1, she really put everything together physically and attracted strong interest, ultimately selling to West Point Thoroughbreds. We were also active buying, adding two fillies to the 2026 Bourbon Lane Two-Year-Old LLC we are very excited about, one by Drain the Clock for $150,000 and another by Volatile for $130,000. Both fillies had outstanding works and showed themselves well all week. The Volatile filly will head to Keeneland to train with Ben Colebrook, while the Drain the Clock filly joins Ian Wilkes at Churchill Downs. The Drain the Clock is a strong, forward dirt type, while the Volatile filly is a fluid mover who looks like she will have options going two turns on dirt or turf. Click here to view the pedigree for Drain the Clock - Big Carat Click here to view the pedigree for Volatile - Bemus Point In addition, we secured two fillies for our clients training with Dan Blacker, a Temple City filly for $75,000 and an Oscar Performance filly for $225,000. The Temple City filly will join the same ownership as El Potente, who we purchased at the OBS June Sale in 2021. He has gone on to be a two-time Grade 3 winner and Grade 2 placed. Overall, it was a productive and encouraging sale on both the buying and selling side, and we are looking forward to the next two-year-old sale in Maryland in just a few weeks. Partnership Opportunities For the 2026 Bourbon Lane Two-Year-Old LLC, the minimum buy-in is $10,000, allowing partners to participate in ownership while sharing in the costs and experience of racing a young horse.
