Bourbonkoma Breaks Maiden at Keeneland!
There’s nothing quite like a winner at Keeneland! On Sunday, October 11, 2026, Bourbonkoma gave his connections and partners plenty to celebrate, breaking his maiden in style and turning a gloomy Sunday into a fun day at the races.
Bourbonkoma, part of the 2024 Bourbon Lane Yearling, LLC, earned his first career victory in a $30,000 Maiden Claiming race. After a long layoff and an attempt on the turf, we decided it was time for a change in approach. We gave him some class relief and added a little more distance, stretching him out to two turns on the dirt. The change proved to be just what he needed. With a great ride from Cristian Torres, Bourbonkoma delivered his best Equibase Speed Figure to date, earning an 83 while securing that first win.
This victory was especially meaningful for Bourbon Lane, marking our first win with trainer Rodolphe Brisset and his wonderful team. We look forward to celebrating more victories together at the track in the future!
