Jamie Hill
Partner Jamie Hill is a graduate of Auburn University and a third-generation horseman. His family's legacy includes the purchase and management of the first of only two undefeated triple crown winners in history, Seattle Slew. The Hill’s, in partnership were able to race many of Slew's best offspring in the years that followed. Jamie’s business training started with a brief stint on Wall Street, but growing up on Long Island, his love was always the Belmont backside. Upon moving to KY, Jamie served as the business manager of Wintergreen Stallion Station, a prominent central Kentucky racing and breeding operation. He took out an insurance license in 2006 while working for Muirfield Insurance, before partnering with McMahon Bloodstock in 2011.
Since partnering, Jamie’s business acumen has helped McMahon and Hill become one of the country’s busiest bloodstock agencies. In 2010, Jamie joined a few longtime friends who had started a fledgling bourbon company. That side venture has grown into Pinhook Bourbon, a nationally recognized brand that annually releases a bourbon and a rye that carries a current Bourbon Lane racehorse on its label. He is currently the President of the Bourbon Lane Stable Retirement Fund a 501(c)(3), a past director of the Thoroughbred Farm Managers Club, the Consignors and Breeders Association, and the Thoroughbred Club of America. He has actively promoted KY Farms to sponsor the Make a Wish Day at Keeneland, the origin of the Cody’s Wish story.
