Kristin Stivers, a native of Florida, moved to Lexington, Kentucky on Derby weekend 1994, to further her career in the equine industry. A third generation horsewoman, she has been riding and showing American Saddlebreds since the age of two, earning multiple world’s and reserve world’s championship titles in a variety of divisions. Kristin has been a professional horse trainer, a bookkeeper for both Saddlebred and Thoroughbred horse farms, an executive with the United Professional Horsemen’s Association, and is a licensed United States Equestrian Federation official, holding judge’s cards in six divisions. She has judged two of the three horse shows that make up the Saddlebred “Triple Crown”, including the Kentucky State Fair World’s Championship Horse Show, as well as the South Africa Saddlebred National Championship Horse Show in Bloemfontein, South Africa.

 

She holds dual degrees in business administration and the liberal arts and is a member of the Thoroughbred Club of America, the United States Equestrian Federation, the American Morgan Horse Association, the American Hackney Horse Society, the American Road Horse and Pony Association, the United Professionals Horsemen’s
Association, the American Saddlebred Horse Association, and the American Saddlebred Museum.


Since joining McMahon & Hill Bloodstock in 2016, Kristin has embraced the Thoroughbred industry as well as the team at McMahon & Hill. One of her favorite parts of her job is the role she played in helping create the Bourbon Lane Stable Retirement Fund 501c3 which provides support to all former Bourbon Lane Stable runners once their racing careers are over. Multi-talented, Kristin brings a deep appreciation of all breeds of horses, as well as a special affinity to the Thoroughbred industry, its people, and its horses.
