McMahon & Hill Bloodstock Pinhook Filly Sells for $325,000 at Keeneland September

McMahon & Hill Bloodstock recorded a successful pinhook at the Keeneland September Yearling Sale, with Hip 969, a City of Light filly, selling for $325,000 from the Warrendale Sales consignment.
Purchased for $125,000 at Keeneland January earlier this year, the filly returned to the sales ring eight months later, selling for $200,000 more than her original purchase price.
The dark bay or brown filly is by City of Light out of Emma Rose, a daughter of Bernardini. Her female family includes G1 winner Icon Project and successful sire Munnings.
The result is another successful transaction for the McMahon & Hill Bloodstock pinhook program, which focuses on identifying and purchasing Thoroughbreds with the potential to develop into commercially attractive resale prospects.
About the McMahon & Hill Bloodstock Pinhook Program
McMahon & Hill Bloodstock's pinhook program offers partners the opportunity to invest in Thoroughbreds purchased at various ages and stages of development, with the goal of reselling them at a future sale.
Through a fund-based partnership structure, the team identifies and purchases horses based on pedigree, physical attributes, market conditions and potential resale value. The program allows partners to participate in multiple bloodstock opportunities without having to independently source, purchase and manage each horse.
From weanling-to-yearling pinhooks to other opportunities throughout the sales calendar, McMahon & Hill Bloodstock aims to build a portfolio of horses with commercial potential.
Partnership and buy-in opportunities are available for those interested in participating in the program.
