McMahon & Hill Pinhook: Key Additions from Fasig-Tipton October Yearling Sale

The Fasig-Tipton October Sale has become a must-attend event for savvy pinhookers and end-users alike. It offers both value and quality across a broad spectrum of pedigrees. This year’s edition featured over 1,600 yearlings, and we were thrilled to add four outstanding individuals to the 2025 McMahon & Hill Pinhook LLC. These additions complement our earlier Keeneland purchases and reflect our commitment to building a well-balanced, high-upside portfolio.

Twirling Candy, the outstanding son of Candy Ride, continues to excel as a sire with winners on both turf and dirt. To date, he has produced 26 Graded Stakes winners, including 12 at the Grade One level. This year, his success has been highlighted by top fillies such as AG Bullet, Fionn, and Kilwin.
Our filly is out of a mare by Unbridled’s Song, a broodmare sire who needs little introduction. The Candy Ride–Unbridled’s Song cross has been proven many times, producing seven stakes winners - including standouts Gift Box, Leofric, and Fore Left.

Vekoma, another accomplished son of Candy Ride, currently sits atop the Leading Second-Crop Sires list and is quickly establishing himself as a prominent and versatile stallion. With 16 black-type winners and 7 Graded Stakes winners already to his name, Vekoma’s success extends beyond the track. His progeny has also proven popular in the sales ring, with two-year-olds selling for up to $750,000 in 2025.
Our filly is the first foal out of a stakes placed mare by Cross Traffic. This makes for a similar and proven cross to that of our Twirling Candy filly since Cross Traffic is by Unbridled's Song.

Popular first-year sire, Golden Pal has been consistently producing strong, athletic individuals. By the late Uncle Mo, this lightning-fast Grade One winner earned an impressive 109 Beyer Speed Figure during his racing career. With that kind of speed, his offspring are expected to show early precocity as two-year-olds.
Our filly is out of the Scat Daddy mare Fairyland, a two-time winner at two, and stakes-placed at Saratoga. She has already produced two winners.

Charlatan, the multiple Graded Stakes–winning son of Speightstown has already made an impact with eight winners from his first crop. His two-year-olds have been well received in the sales ring, bringing as much as $660,000 in 2025.
Our colt, purchased for just $15,000, represents exceptional value. He is out of a Grade One–placed mare who has already produced two winners, giving him both performance and pedigree appeal.
