Bold Journey Delivers Again in G3 Tom Fool Stakes

McMahon & Hill Bloodstock purchase Bold Journey added to his impressive resume with a determined victory in the Grade 3 Tom Fool Stakes at Aqueduct Racetrack, showcasing the grit and turn of foot that have defined his career.


The 7-year-old son of Hard Spun unleashed a huge burst of acceleration in the stretch, closing relentlessly and getting up in the final strides to win by a nose in a dramatic finish. Congratulations to Hall of Fame trainer Bill Mott and the ownership group of Pantofel Stable, Watchel Stable, and Gary Barber on another outstanding performance.


Bold Journey was purchased by McMahon & Hill Bloodstock on behalf of Seidman Stables at the 2021 OBS April Sale for $80,000 from the respected consignors McKathan Brothers. Now a multiple graded stakes winner, Bold Journey has finished in the top three in 22 of 34 lifetime starts and has earnings just shy of $1 million.
