Bourbon Memory has officially added stakes winner to her resume! The talented filly kept her perfect record intact with a gutsy victory in the $125,000 Serena’s Song Stakes at Turfway Park on March 29, marking her fourth win in as many starts and pushing her career earnings to $156,903.
In a thrilling stretch battle, Bourbon Memory showed her heart and determination, dueling Family all the way to the wire to win by a head in a sharp 1:10.17 for six furlongs over Turfway’s all-weather surface. Ridden to victory by Gerardo Corrales, she broke sharply, took control early, and fought every step of the way to secure the win.
A daughter of Spendthrift Farm’s Bolt d’Oro out of the Empire Maker mare Take a Memo, Bourbon Memory was a savvy $27,000 purchase by McMahon & Hill Bloodstock from Hunter Valley Farm at the 2023 Keeneland September Yearling Sale. She made her debut late in 2024, capturing a maiden special weight at Turfway before returning to dominate a starter allowance in January and an allowance optional in early March—all leading up to her big moment in the Serena’s Song Stakes.
We couldn’t be more excited about this filly’s future! Co-owned by our Bourbon Lane Stable partners alongside Seidman Stables, All My Heart Racing, Fergus Galvin, and Carl Barry, and expertly trained by Brendan Walsh, Bourbon Memory is proving to be an absolute standout.
Congratulations to all her connections—here’s to many more wins ahead!
