At Bourbon Lane Stable, we believe that aftercare for our horses is just as vital as their racing careers. This year, the Bourbon Lane Retirement Fund proudly donated $10,000 to the Retired Racehorse Project (RRP) Makeover, reinforcing our commitment to the future of our equine athletes. Their journeys exemplify the potential of Off-Track Thoroughbreds (OTTBs) to shine beyond the racetrack.
We’re thrilled to share that two of our former runners are participating in this year’s makeover:
Bourbon Creed
Bourbon Creed was a talented horse whose racing career was cut short due to an injury, but he has thrived in his second career. This year, he will be competing with the CSU Equine Sciences team in Show Hunter and Show Jumper events at the RRP makeover.

Bourbon War
Bourbon War, a Graded Stakes performer, took us on an exhilarating journey along the Triple Crown trail. Now, he’s set to showcase his talents in Eventing with trainer Sydney Solomon.

Together, we’re dedicated to supporting our horses long after they cross the finish line! It’s our mission to ensure that every horse in our care transitions into a fulfilling life after racing.
Join us in celebrating the incredible journeys of our horses and the importance of aftercare in our sport.
